Persephone Season Map

Persephone+season+map.jpg

Bedrock’s original adaptation of the epic classic tells the tale of the maiden Persephone; her abduction by Hades, King of the Underworld; her mother, Demeter, Goddess of the Harvest; six fateful pomegranate seeds; and a painful compromise that is the genesis for Earth’s seasons.

For Bedrock’s 2019 Season, we’re inviting you into three stages of our development process during our year as artists in residency at Leach Botanical Garden:

1) Bedrock Band on February 26: a concert preview of the original music in the Manor House Fireplace Room. (Check out videos here!)

2) Garden Party on June 2 at 2 PM: a staged reading of the in-process script on the East Terrace.

3) Trail Performances* August 15, 16, 18, 23 and 25 at 7 PM: the music, text, and landscape all come together in motion on the trail.

*An ADA accessible Low-Impact Performance will be held on August 22 at 7 PM on the East Terrace.

All performances are pay-what-you-can, cash or check at the door. Space is limited for the trail performances and advance reservations are required. Save the dates and check back soon for RSVP information!
